Jake started to explore his talents in video at the age of 17. Using his skill to see light, color and perspective differently he started Under the Oak with his partner Benjamin to serve the community with video services. Jake has since worked on a variety of projects dealing with cinematography, editing and pre-production planning. Jake has been trained in programs like Motion and Final Cut as well as gained knowledge and experience with High Definition cameras. In an ever increasing digital age, Jake believes that his talent in digital filmmaking will grow into several visions that he has for himself and his company. Recently he has been interested in projects concerning reconciliation in places such as Israel/Palestine and Rwanda.

Benji began working with film and video at age 16.  Over the years he became skilled  in the art of directing , cinematography, and editing by creating videos for his school and local churches.  In 2005 Benji along with his good friend Jake began their business Under the Oak Productions.  In the past few years he has made promotional videos for organizations,  done cinematography for documentaries , and has directed multiple short films for competition.  He has also advanced his skills in writing and story telling and has begun writing multiple screenplays.  His artistic talent is a great asset to UTO and brings a new outlook to any film or video.
